The carpet was just as you see it in the picture. The black area's are raised. The tan looks like a burr burr weave. If you have cats, which I do, the cat hair does not stick to the black fibers, which makes it easy to vacuum. I am happy with the carpet.

The rug is odd. The beige part is woven, very rough texture. Looks and feels like an outdoor fabric. The black stripes are nice wool. I expected a soft, plush rug for my home and don't care for this one. Unfortunately it is way too heavy to return.

The rug is beautiful, very exotic looking and the colors are perfect. I did not rate it a 5 because the material stated was not what i received.
