This is actually a well put together, high quality shelf for the price that I would probably rate 5 stars if it wasn't for the damaged condition I received it in. After researching before my purchase, other consumers on different websites noted the same thing with it but I took the chance anyway based on the price and unique style. Surprising that there was damage because the product was really "over packed" with materials. This also contributed to my decision not to return it as it would have been a huge hassle to reassemble. I had to do some touch up with a black marker, and also had to reinforce some stripped screw holes with toothpicks. Now the damage is generally not noticeable without close inspection. If you are comfortable with minor touch ups, then it is probably worth the price I paid for it, even with the damage. However, if you have a principle issue for paying for a semi- damaged product, then this is not for you.
