Safavieh Chairs Classical Ava Side Chairs (Pack Of 2) Olive

I bought 8 of these chairs in the Charcoal Linen fabric and couldn't be more pleased. I wish it showed a picture of the back and up close views of the stitching. The stitching runs along the side of the chair - on both the upright backrest and the seat. Also the backside of the chair has stitching vertically down the middle and a horizontal seal about 3" down from the top forming a "T" pattern. The foam padding is firm and sturdy - it felt a bit stiff when I first got them but they have become a little softer and I think it will hold up well over the years. The construction of the wooden legs are done very well - it is a mortise and tenon construction which is stronger and aesthetically cleaner than the "glued and screwed" type. They have hard plastic discs on the bottom which I was afraid would scratch my hardwood floors, so I glued felt to them without any problem. The color is a warm-toned brown and looks great with my dark-walnut table even though the chairs have a reddish tone to the wood, more like a cherry stain. The chairs were shipped fully assembled, has a brand-name cover stapled to the seat bottom to hide the upholstery construction AND each chair came with its' own pull-string dust cover which would be great if you have the chair in storage or while moving.
