Description: The economic foundation of the town of Newbury was the cloth trade. The famous "Newbury Coat" was the result of a wager as to whether a gentleman's suit could be produced in one day from wool that was sheared from a sheep's back at the beginning of day. Our hand-tufted collection pays tribute to the art of William Morris and the Arts & Crafts design school updated with today's color palette of chocolate, blue and green.

Great color and form. The first couple of weeks demand pretty frequent vacuuming as the rug sheds, but it calms down and is low maintenance after.

Beautiful rug with great arts & crafts styling. Pattern has a nice level of detail. Colors are generally true to the picture, and include peridot greens, garnet red, rust, dusty blue, and teal blue on a chocolate brown background. I was pleasantly surprised by how thick the pile is and how soft it is underfoot. Also, it has shed very little.

I LOVE this rug! In the last three years I have had four different rugs in my entryway and eventually hated all of them. This is perfect with the color scheme in my home and the quality is wonderful!
