As indicated by others, it's a thin rug. With a good pad, it probably would have been comfortable enough. However, I don't think that I could have vacuumed it very easily. The primary reason why I will be paying shipping to return this rug is that the azure blue color is striped with white and black and does not work with my furniture.
RECOMMENDED: No, I would not recommend this to a friend.The color was nice and the make is simple and clean. For the price, it was worth waiting two weeks for. Shipping speed was dismal. I don't know who's writing the other reviews on this site but the shipping comments are not accurate at all.

Unfortunately, the willow green is not the right color, although the picture looked like it would work. I will return that one and get a different color. As others have said, they are not really thick rugs, but look as if they will wash up nicely.

The vibrant blue really livens up the space and the variations in color hide any mess that might overflow from the kids' art endeavors. It looks great and was affortdable enought that I don't worry about it getting a little messed up over time by heavy play.

I'm sure someone was just careless in opening a box or something but it does mean I've got to send it back...always a pain. The color is beautiful and very close to the computer depiction. It's thin but that's the type of rug this is. I will use a rug pad with it when I get the replacement.
I think I was expecting the rug to be a little heavier, however it is a very nice lightweight rug. I ordered the willow green and it does have a lot of black in it -- Perfect for the front entry.
