Soft and great for use in our hallway. Was worried since it's an outdoor rug, but it's working out great and looks really nice.
RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.This rug was the color I expected (in my case, dark green) and thicker and softer than expected. It looks great against the muted green tile in the bath. I appears to be very well made: I think it would hold up even under heavy traffic.

I was nervous that the rug might be too busy, but that was not the case. This rug is so beautiful in person!

The material is very soft and seems durable - we've only had it a few weeks, so I can't be sure in the long run. It replaced a sisal rug which was the opposite - rough and prone to warping when spilled on. The weave is fabulous and the highlights eyecatching. All in all well worth getting.

I do want to comment on color - it really is not what I expected. I ordered the cafe tostada color, and the colors on the website appeared in the brownish hues. Instead it seems more on the grey side with more interwoven color (blue and red) than I expected. I am very happy with the texture - it feels great on barefeet; the surface is soft and the texture very good. That was most important to me! I also like the way the woven pattern looks, especially when viewed from a distance-it gives a classic yet warm/inviting feel.

The 8' octagonal size makes a wonderful background for my round oak kitchen table with 6 oak chairs. The braided design is dressed up with lovely surged binding. What a great look!
