RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.We bought the white and the black and both are made of a very thin vinyl backing, colored paper or ultra thin plastic and a very thin clear coating. We are guessing that they may last just a few year in our kitchen. If your floor is not perfect don't even think of using these, they are so thin that every flaw shows up. Be sure you don't try to move anything heavy on them because the surface mars easily. They shift after you think they are secure. The glue is gooey and if you aren't very careful it sticks to the surface and it is really difficult to remove. There are a lot of differences in the finish of the tiles, some are very shiney while others are dull. Not recommended.
