I purchased the rectangular 3'11" x 5'5", and liked it so much that I then purchased the 2'2" x 7'3" runner - even though I hadn't meant to replace my Belgian runner! The colors are more vivid than shown here online, providing wonderful contrast. The rug is rather thick for this price range, another improvement over my Belgian rugs (which are now suffering from a bit of neglect)... I am very happy with these new rugs and high recommend them.
RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.The red is actually darker, more like a rich burgundy. In fact, all the colors in this rug are more vivid than shown online, i.e. the darker colors are darker and the lighter are lighter, thus providing more welcome contrast. The quality is quite good, too, and is thicker than I had expected from the price. Thus I may also get another in the runner size, even though I hadn't planned on replacing my current Belgian-made runner!
