Originally a rug characteristic of the Caucasian weaving group, the Soumak rug is an organic, flat woven, hand knotted rug that over centuries, India has truly made its own. Traditional designs dominate this award winning casual collection, but Jaipur rugs combines the benefits of modern color ways and New Zealand wool that add distinction and class to any environment. Made of superior wool and hand knotted to create its unique Herringbone effect, each distinctive, double sided rug will have a luxurious look and feel far exceeding your expectations, Jaimak: Comfort with Class.
Vacuum regularly as new wool rugs can shed yarn fibers for up to three months. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Do not pull loose ends, clip them with scissors to remove. Clean liquid spills immediately by blotting with cloth or sponge. For hard to remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended.
This rug did not have the right accent color as what we thought was coral was really rust. Also the weave was not, in our opinion, appropriate for our formal dining room. If it would have been in a more relax environment it would have been fine.RECOMMENDED: Yes!
