I bought this carpet after returning 3 different wool carpets that I bought locally, all of which just ended up constantly shedding, and which made me break out in rashes because I'm allergic to wool. This carpet is very soft to the touch and looks great. It is not quite as thick and plush as some of the really high end carpets, but we have it in our living room for our baby to crawl on and think it's great (with a good pad underneath)

The good thing about this rug is that it was real easy to clean when my dog did his business on it. just spot clean with any mild soap and your set. I do agree that it's a bit thin but a pad should take care of that problem.
