For centuries the beautiful colors used by the ancient Egyptian artists to decorate the temples, monuments and homes of the nobles have been admired but never duplicated. The artists used a vast array of colors using natural ingredients and techniques that were difficult to recreate even with today's technology...until now. The Kharma collection with it's aged tea stained effect and fine heat set yarns recreate that ancient look once again. Woven of 100% Olefin.
Colors are far less bold than appear on my screen. The red is actually a reddish brown, the background is a nondescript blue green (very dark) and the apricot and gold are a dull tan. Overall effect is kinda drab. Still deciding whether or not to return.RECOMMENDED: No.
We purchsed this pattern in a long runner for the entry hall. The colors are very vivid and make the room pop. Love it! The maroon, black and navy tones in the rug are very neutral and make the rug coordinate well with other rugs, patterns and decor. Love this rug!! Yes its dark...but that's what makes it so neutral. Very happy so far!RECOMMENDED: Yes!
Colors are a little darker/brighter than larger carpet I purchased it to match, However, that one is eight years old, and has probably faded somewhat as it is under a south-facing window. Love the rich colors and the Wm. Morris "Bullerswood" design.RECOMMENDED: Yes!
