The pile on this rug has been shaved so short that almost nothing is left. It feels rough and many bald areas are showing. The real appearance is not like the muted watercolor effect of the online photo. That makes it less suitable for a living room. It is too expensive for a high traffic area rug. I wish there WAS a rug that looks like the picture that also feels soft!

RECOMMENDED: No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just received my rug, but was disappointed that the pile was shaved off so closely that almost nothing but the threads of the base were left. Pattern and size are accurate, but the color is darker and the white/bare patches look bald and not like the faded watercolor effect the picture suggests. The rug seems sturdy, but it's scratchy and not soft and pleasant to sit on. I wish the company would produce rugs that look like the picture, but with a pile left. This item was a test order, since I was considering other rugs, but I will need to look elsewhere for those.
