I absoluetly adore this rug. I must agree with the other reveiws that the rug is heavy, however i think that's wonderful! (its usually a great sign of a well made wool rug) The color on the rug is great and even though its not white white, its pretty darn close. Buy this rug you will enjoy it for yrs to come.

I purchased the 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 for my living room. I wanted the WOW affect and this capret delivers. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it's not quite straight on one side. It curves a bit at the edges (not bad enough to return it though.)

I would highly recommend this rug to anyone looking for a quality wool rug at a low price. Great with contemporary furniture. The rug does shed but after a vacuum it's much better.
Also take note that this is a heavy and thick rug so if it's laying close to a door it may prevent the door from closing.

I have never spent any decent amount of money on a quality rug, but after admiring this rug for so long, I decided to just finally order it. I bought the large 7'6 x 9'6 size and I just got it today! WOW and AMAZING is the perfect words for this rug! It is so gorgeous, that I found myself laying on this, as it is thick, very comfortable and looks perfect with my furniture. Fantastic quality! So much so, that I just might order the same one in a smaller size for my other room. Sheds? Yeah, a little, but vacuum it and it will be fine. Don't waste your money on the cheap, thin rugs. They won't last and the quality just is not there. This is a rug you definitely cannot go wrong with!! I LOVE IT!!!!

This is a wonderful area rug and it makes a great statement. It does shed a little when you first get it, but as well-made wool rugs do, just vacuum a few extra times throughout the first couple weeks after you get it. It has great quality & craftsmanship. Very soft and plush, my dog refuses to sleep on his bed now-he'd rather sleep on this rug! We looked for a while to find an elegant, sophisticated, zebra rug that was actually black and white. This rug is a perfect example of all of the above. I would suggest looking at the room view pic to get a better idea of what it looks like-and it looks just like that pic. This rug looks great in our music room/ office. It is heavy and thick and a real statement. Like most 100% wool rugs, it will shed for a while and the white on black shows the shedding so frequent vaccuuming for a while. All in all it is exactly what I hoped for. [...]

when i say this rug sheds, i mean it really sheds. the entire living room was covered in fibers: the sofa, windows, the table, my clothes, my pets, you name it. i started to vacuum the heck out of it. the first time i vacuumed it, the fibers filled about 1/4 of a 30 gallon trashbag (8x10 rug).
colors are very good - black blacks and white whites. seems well-made.

Really love this rug. I saw it on Apartment Therapy's web site and I just feel in love with it. I agree with the previous post that the white is not a pure white but I am not sire that a pure white can be achieved in a wool rug. There are pure white zebra rugs at [...] and such but its mostly plastic and just doesn't feel like a rug. Anyways the quality is great, [...] the rug is handsome. Thanks

This rug is fabulous! It is thick, warm, and soft. It sheds a bit initially but tends to settle down after several vacuumings. It looks great even in the kitchen. So far, it has been easy to wipe up small spills off the top. LOVE this rug--great price, nice quality! I want to order more!

I purchased the 8 ft round zebra.It fits perfectly in a corner of my large living room with bookshelves. You want to lay on it when you walk on it, it's so thick. I accented it with 2 large modern, comfy red chairs and a low,low table and I ordered a chandelier that will really set it off. Already people want to sit there instead of my big area. LOVE IT! I'm shopping for more rugs!!

I have the runner, and it looks beautiful in my hall. It is a thick rug (but not too thick to open the front door), and very soft. The background white is perfect--very slightly off white. The contrast looks great.
