Rugs USA Standard Shag Greek Flokati Lilac

I purchased the brown flokati. Shipping was fast. The product is just as described. I use this rug as a photography prop and it's wonderful.

I liked this rug so much, this is the third one I've ordered. I use them in my bedrooms as accent rugs. They compliment any decor. The only complaint I have would be that they do shed quite a bit, so i keep the vacuum handy.

This rug sheds like crazy. I cant sit on it with out it shedding on me very badly. Its sheds worse then a long haired dog! Waste of money.

Unfortunately I returned the item. In terms of quality I am going to be hard pressed to find another rug as nice, however the issue I had was the color. I ordered the Salt & Pepper and it was Black and White, no subtle gray tones at all. Shipping was incredibly fast and the return process was acceptable. I am looking forward to giving it another shot if I can find something I like.

I got this rug for under $60 bucks so I cant complain too much but it isnt really thick. You can easily see the bottom of the rug.

Wow! Just received my Flokati and it's just perfect. Shopped for months to find the best deal available and finally got my 3x5 rug for 50% off and was thrilled, it is just the look I wanted and it is very full and fluffy. Time will tell how well it wears. Would definitely buy from RugsUsa again.

I was expecting the rug to be "white" but it is more "off white". I am disappointed but will keep it maybe for a different purpose than what I had originally thought.

I purchased this rug to be used for my newborn and child photography. It is what I expected, except for one thing. I have never had any experience with flokati but I was imagining it to be nice and soft. Well, it isn't as soft as I assumed but it is still perfect for what I need. It arrived fairly quickly to me and I was satisfied with this company. Will use them again if I ever need a rug in the future!

Like the rug but the "natural" color was more yellow than the images online, still nice and fluffy. Some spots are thinner than others but overall I'm happy with this rug.

I also did not receive cleaning instructions. Poor packaging.

The rug is not as soft as I expected, but in general, is a good area rug. The packaging was horrible. The rug arrived in a thin piece of plastic. Unfortunately, my rug was ripped in the back.

These rugs shed like crazy and unless you want to feel like you own a white long haired dog and vacuum all day long, I would pass on these. I had to return mine because I was literally vacuuming our wood floors every few hours!

Love the rug! The rug is a very clean looking natural- not a bright white. The pile is quite long and soft. We have had the rug for three weeks now and it doesn't shed with normal use- though it is not in a high traffic area. It does hold on to little bits of leaves and things and because of the long soft nature of the pile, you can't use a vacuum on it, so I have been bushing things off with my hand, and then there is some shedding. It looks great on our wood floor in a modern living room with a lot of clean lines- provides some warmth and contrast.

I got 2 of these rugs for my apt. They are warm and fuzzy and made the space more cozy. But, maybe because they are wool, they shed. Fuzz sticks to socks and leaves fuzz-bunnies around the room. I'm hoping maybe after more wear the excess fuzz will be gone.

No wool odor. Comfortable. Good value and size for the price and would recommend this to use for a bedroom or bathroom rug.

I really like the look of the rug and the feel on my feet. It is too scratchy to lay on and it has not stopped shedding yet. I hope it stops shedding soon! Overall I am happy as long as it stops shedding soon.

This rug is very good. It arrived as expected packed small and fluffed up well. Flokatis come in different weights and this one is light. But even so, it was a great value. It also came with washing instructions which are very helpful. I made the mistake of taking my old one to the dry cleaner and it came back shredded. These instructions say in no uncertain terms "Do not dry clean!"

The rug is decent. A little yellower than it looks online,and definatley sheds quite a lot . You need to expect to be picking up bits of fluff around your home!

I can't say enough about this rug. I love it! It's beautiful. Wonderful quality. The only negative is the fibers come off easily if pulled on. Other than that, a gorgeous rug.

THis is a great rug for the purpose I purchased it for (photography). I love love love it! It does shed a ton. We tried using it for our living room but we had to remove it because the shedding was so bad. I knew this going into it, so I was not surprised.

I have to admit I was scared to buy the lilac and the pink...but I'm glad I did. My daughters loved them! They are beautiful, and well made. My husband loved the natural one. And for my husband to say it's beautiful means a lot. They look just like the pictures. All 3 arrived in perfect condition and on time.

This was my very first rug purchase, and I bought the 5x7 in chocolate brown. I used a LivingSocial deal to purchase, because my budget was a little bit tight after having recently paid for several moving expenses - as I'm sure we can all relate to! This was the first rug I viewed on RugsUSA.com and I was a little bit skeptical about buying a rug online without being able to see it first. It arrived within 2 business days (amazing), and it was very flat looking when it arrived, but fluffed right up on it's own once I let it sit for a couple of days (and I also just some time fluffing it up by hand, I don't own a rug comb). Another reviewed described it as "This rug arrives like how your hair looks in the morning - flat." And that was spot-on. I had been nervous, but it soon perked up a bit, and looks absolutely fantastic. I have had several people over within my first couple of weeks of having the rug, and a literally every person has commented on how nice and expensive it looks. Because I've never bought a rug before, I don't have much basis for comparison, but from my friends that have, I have heard that it looks "very expensive," which I love to hear. I have not had any problems with the shedding described by other reviewers. I see the stray fluff of wool here or there, but it is extremely minimal. I purchased my own rug mat from Amazon.com because the price was a little bit better. The rug mat helps it stay in place, but it would actually probably also be okay without, mine's just in a high traffic area, so I wanted it to stick. I need another rug for my bedroom, and I may literally buy the exact same (maybe a bit smaller because of room size) rug in a different color. What a steal! I am so happy with this purchase, and they have a loyal customer now. I have already recommended the rug to several of my friends, and I'm very happy. It's very cozy on my feet, and I'm sure it will only be more so in the wintertime. 100% recommend.

good not great. it depends what u r looking for. the look is almost spot on. but if u pair it with white furniture it looks completely yellow. i had to return mine because it was just not the look i was going for. but who knows, it might be the look that u want. p.s. not itchy but also not a very soft and comfy rug.

Everyone thinks we paid 5 times as much for this rug. It is amazing that it was so reasonably priced, and yet is made of natural fibers. There's no chemical smell, no shedding, no stiffness to it. It felt great under our bare feet from day one. Luxurious rug for the price. It is as nice or nicer than the other flokati shag rug in my great room that cost tons more.

This Flokati comes in three thickness. I ordered the 2000 ct. There is a 3000 count as well as a 4000 count. Money difference isn't much, I wish I had ordered the 3000 count. However, it is excellent for my use at the 2000. This type of "rug" is more like a THICK blanket then an area rug as we know it. No carpet backing. It needs a carpet pad or another rug to lay over. Needs special care. (DO NOT VACUME). Must be shook out and "combed". Hung outside in fresh air in a no sun area for a few hours a couple times a year. It is not meant for high traffic areas. It is more decorative than useful. Flokatis are greek about 3000 years old and were used as blankets back then. They are BEAUTIFUL no matter what thread count, but do require special handling and care. This is all not uncommon to any flokati "rug". I would definitely order again, but keep in mind they are for accent and looks. RugsUSA is a great company to work with. I have ordered from them before and consider them first in any choice I make!!!!

We purchased this rug in natural to go with our new cream and black couch, it looks awesome and it is so soft and comfy, you could nap on it. We would highly recommend this rug to anyone who is looking for exceptional quality at a reasonable price.

Just got my flokati shag and LOVE it! It's the 2000g version, which I feared might be too thin but it's lush and soft!! My cat, who attacks all things wool, did go after the rug for the first few minutes but now loves it; in fact he slept peacefully on it all night.

This rug is wonderfully plush. It's true that it's not the pure white suggested in photos, but it's quite beautiful and works anyway. The wool can be a bit scratchy if you lie down on it directly, but it feels great on the feet.

I love my rug. It's such a cool style and gives the room a very cozy feel. The only thing that concerns me is it's shedding like crazy. is this normal?

A few things to keep in mind if you are considering this rug: (1) it is slightly yellowish in color, not pure white; (2) it sheds a lot...found little puffballs around the house, but I am hoping that after a few good vacuuming sessions, that will slow down; (3) I wish the rug was a little more dense, because depending on how you walk on it, sometimes the backing shows through, and you can see bare spots. I suppose a more "deluxe" version would not have that problem. All in all, for the price, I think it's a good product and I'm happy with it.

Looks good, fits the purpose in the bedroom. Lays flat and does not "walk" on the fitted carpet below. Good price.

Purchased this rug in teal to match with a paisley garnet family room set it matched perfectly. Followed directions as stated to fluff out and BAM!!! my room looks rich with this rug it's a steal.

Purchased this rug a few months back and never got around to putting it out until a few days ago. There is only 1 way to describe this rug...stunning! It gave our room the modern but cozy feel that we were looking for. The only downfall is that our cats love it more than they love us....we can't get them away from it!

What can add more warmth and a sense of coziness to a room more than a flotaki rug? We bought a round one to place under an artisan crafted chess table. It is wonderful! Like adding a quality frame to a one-of-a-kind painting, the rug sets off the table to its best advantage. Kudos!

It was a great buy. Nothing that I have found compares to the quality and the price. The shipping took about 9 days. I had expected it to come a little quicker since it was an instock item and only one state away.

The rug is beautiful.The pile is thick and long. I just wish it had a more substantial backing. You really need a non-slip pad for it.

I purchased this flokati and I'm extremely happy with the quality. The color is a wonderful natural color that easily blends in with my decor. I have already purchased another one and I'm very anxious to receive it. If you order this rug, it will NOT disappoint!

I have been looking for a Flokati rug for over a year. But they have always been prohibitively expensive. So when I found a rug on rugsusa, I was excited about the competitive price. The rug arrived quickly and in great condition. I am very pleased with the final product.

The best deal on a flokati rug period. The quality is by far better than what I have seen at my local store. It's thick and dense. It'll be hard to vacuum do to the long strands of wool yarn but this is true with any shag rug. Also this rug is 100% wool including the back. There is no cheap canvas backing.

I am absolutely in love with my Flokati rug . It's one of the best purchases I've made on the internet period. The rug is heavy and soft and really made our bedroom . I have seen these same rugs elsewhere for a lot more and not even of the same quality. There seems to be more wool per inch then on others that I have seen.

This is an average rug, though I like its feel on my feet. The big problem with this rug is that it sheds a lot. I need to brush it practically everyday.

I bought this as a prop for my photography studio but I don't think it's going to work out. The shag is very fine and won't show texture in photos. BUT I can see my wife stealing this for our bedroom as it is so soft and great looking.

Good points are that this flokati is thick and soft. it's well made and faaar cheaper than on any other site that I have checked. BAd point is that when the rug arrives you have to let it lay flat for a week or so in order for the wool to come back to life. The rug arrives the same way your hair looks in the morning. FLAT. It helps to spay the rug with water and to then brush it with much like a dog. Also as this is a heavy shag rug it will shed for awhile .

Wwe bought this rug for our bedroom and at first I was afraid that it would be a thin shag but both myself and my wife were very surprised of the quality of this rug. The rug does shed as all wool rugs do. VEey fast delivery. thanks

I like the way this rug looks in my guest room. I think that any guest will feel pampered. I did not like the way it looked in my living room. Too informal for my tastes.
