Description: The Ancient Treasures collection is Hand-woven in Pakistan's northern frontier by Afghan tribal weavers who have been working in this craft for centuries. Each heirloom quality area rug is woven with hand-spun Persian wool and vegetable dyed. These rugs, which can take up to a year to weave, are then washed and dried in the sun giving each authentic area rug its soft subdued tones and muted colors. The Ancient Treasures collection represents our efforts to recreate the look and feel of 17th century Persian masterpieces that adorn the world's museums today.
