Absolutely love this rug!! Saw it first in May 2013 issue of HGTV magazine - Sabrina Soto's piece, pg. 122-3, so I was confident of the soft, steel- gray "nickel" color with ivory design. The rug is well-made, plush, tastefully contemporary, and sheds (as is normal for wool) very little. It even survived without any staining when my cat threw up on it after the first week. A high- quality rug at a bargain price! Also, it arrived in record time - long before RugsUSA's computer told me it had shipped:)

It's slightly lighter than in the picture, but it works great in my living room. The pattern is ivory and not white (it didn't specify, so I was glad it wasn't pure white when it arrived.) Very cushy under foot too. A total score for 50% off! :)

Shedding is there but less than many other wool rugs. Mine does have occasional tan threads in the ivory part of the rug which is why I rated 4 not 5.

It does shed but not as bad as I was prepared for. I have a pottery barn rug that shed for over a year so I know that wool rugs just do that. It is super plush underfoot and the color is definitely a blue-grey.

It is recommended that the rug will need to be vacuumed frequently which I have done and will continue to do so until the shedding ends. As my daughter-in-law said, it really ties the room together.

I bought the Blue Rain, it's slightly brighter than I expected (definitely cobalt or royal blue), but I really love the pop of color it brings. It is plush underfoot and beautifully spruces up a room without being overpowering. The photo represents the color pretty much exactly, so don't hesitate. I highly recommend this rug!
