A couple things that surprised me about this rug: #1 It's plastic. That winds up not being a problem for us because it will be very easy to clean up. But it just surprised me. #2 We bought the yellow version and the color is different than I expected. The yellow in the rug is very bright and when combined with the white in the pattern it ends up looking very creamy; kind of like the color of butter. Not bad, just a different overall yellow than I expected.(I was hoping for more the color of wheat. The rug doesn't look as good with our wood floors as I had hoped.) Also, the pattern is a smaller scale and so the rug read as a solid light creamy yellow unless you are right next to it. I was kind of hoping for a bigger graphic punch from the pattern, but you don't get that. Overall the rug is different than I expected. I like it, but I don't love it. The price was phenomenal though, so not much buyers remorse.
