Beautiful rug, but it sheds wool terribly. After 9 months, it's still shedding daily. My vacuum canister gets completely clogged full of wool EVERY time I vacuum (huge handfuls of fuzz!) DON'T BUY THIS RUG unless you want FUZZ ALL OVER YOUR HOUSE from now on.

The background is a little more "tan" than I'd call beige (slightly darker than the photo.) The stringy feather part is brown with a slightly greenish tinge (not as dark a chocolate as I expected from the photo.) The green is a medium/dark sage, and the blue center is a very pretty dark teal. The rug has a slight musty smell to it, but not too bad. It's nice and heavy, with fairly thick pile. I love it - just gorgeous - it's pretty as a peacock! Even my fiance loved it! Can't wait to put it in the living room at our new house next week!
