size, color and texture are as I expected. It needs a rug pad but we really like it!

RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.I like it! Pros: the overall design, correct colors (maybe a tad lighter than it looks online), texture of wool/weave, price. I love the loose weave of the wool, I think it's what makes the rug fairly soft without having to be thick...but I think the weave is also the downfall of this rug (see "cons"). Cons: We've only had it for two weeks (my bf and I, no pets or kids or fat parties) and already some of the weave is coming apart or loosening at the edges, which doesn't bode well for the longevity of this rug... sad cuz I friggin love the design. I think in a no-shoes house it would do better. There is some pilling but nothing out of the ordinary.

Depending on the lighting in the room from the sun, it can sometimes look like a slate blue. This isn't a dark charcoal color if that is what you're looking for. My only complaint is that it does shed a bit - as other readers have noted. But for the price, and being all wool... this is a great modern looking rug.

My dogs play on it and they are really rough on it. So far it's held up nicely! A few weaves have come up but that's because they play wayyyy to roughly and need they're nails cut so that's probably my fault! It's a good cushy rug otherwise!
