Vacuum regularly as new wool rugs can shed yarn fibers for up to three months. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Do not pull loose ends, clip them with scissors to remove. Clean liquid spills immediately by blotting with cloth or sponge. For hard to remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended.
We bought the orange rug and it is NOT the vibrant, pumpkin color shown. It's more of a peach or coral color. Otherwise, it's a nice rug. Just NOT the color shown. Peach/coral - NOT orange.RECOMMENDED: Yes!
I purchased the wool tufted orange / salman rug and I absolutely love the color against my hardwood floors and furniture. As mentioned, vacuuming will bring up a lot of lint, which I experienced with my other wool rugs so I was not surprised. If you have cats, be aware that their claws can easily pull out some tufted wool yarn (when they get the running yips, they snag some of the carpet). Despite this, I am thrilled with this purchse and am going to purchase another rug . . . but the next one will likely be woven or hand-knotted.RECOMMENDED: Yes!
This is obviously not a hand-woven, heirloom- worthy rug. I purchased it with the expectation that it would shed a bit and last only a few years, because I have two young and rambunctious dogs who can't be trusted with nice things. Bearing that in mind, this is absolutely worth the cost (with the 75% off deal and free shipping, of course). The natural color is a slightly sandier shade than I expected (more taupe than cream), but it coordinates well with my furniture (for comparison, take a look at Restoration Hardware's Belgian linen in Sand). And the shedding is really minor -- nothing a little sweeping and regular ...RECOMMENDED: Yes!
