The colors are actually a little less bright than they appear on my screen (which was a plus because it looks a bit vintage, which I prefer). So far no shedding but I did give it a good vacuum with my Dyson, which picked up a lot of fibers. Good thickness. It's not a soft, plush rug, but it is comfortable underfoot. I like that it is looped and not cut (I think this will also result in less shedding). Another bonus is that it unrolled and was lying flat without any curled edges very shortly after taking it out of it's packaging.
