As other reviews have stated, this rug sheds quite a bit and you'll need to vacuum it extensively upon arrival and set up. However, it is very soft and feels great under foot. It is more light tan than ivory in color which was ideal for my great room. The weave on he inside section has a loop and did have some snags. Many worked out with all the vacuuming that was needed. I wouldn't recommend this for an ultra-formal room. However it is perfect for our great room and the looped texture gives it a natural, more organic feel. No bad odors from this rug or anything like that. It has really made our room come together and we love it!

RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.for the price i paid($200 for ~8x10) i would recommend the rug, but overall you get what you pay for. the cream rug was more tan than the picture shows, but the biggest issue is shedding which i suppose is to be expected from a cheaper rug.

RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Great look and great price, but if you are buying it and have crawling babies (like I do) beware! The fibers in the center are very short stiff wool that does almost feel woven along with jute or something. The stiff loops in the center of the rug do shed, and the short bristles get everywhere--embedded in your clothes, especially if you sit directly on the rug. I also would walk across it with socks or bare feet, and would get these stiff fibers on the couch etc. Got into baby's eye and had to flush out. Not good for little kids, but if you are not sitting or crawling on it, a nice rug for the price. The cream was a bit more grey than I was hoping, although still a serviceable neutral.

One minor complaint would be that there is quite a bit of lint that comes off of it initially, but this could probably be helped after several rounds of vacuuming.

RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Nice rug...better price. All wool and doesn't shed. Like the 2 different weaves with the center being a larger loop which adds a nice contrast. I bought it in the beige which is a taupe-y beige (grayish undertones). I would have preferred a little more golden beige but for $90 I'm not complaining; shipped quickly and for free...win/win!!!

It is also berber (spelling?) in the center. I wouldn't have purchased that it I had realized that. It makes it not very soft. However, it was a good deal. So, if you are looking for something inexpensive and basic--this might be for you.
