Just received it so I can't yet comment on shedding but I can tell you the colors are far more vibrant than the internet photo. The center/lightest stripe is actually a soft greenish tint. I really like and there is no odor, yea!
I just received this rug. I ordered it for my nursery because I wanted a wool rug, nothing synthetic. This rug is wonderful, and matches my nursery colors, which are a mix of pink, purple, lilac. It is not to thin and the colors are soft, nothing bright, which is perfect. It rolled out well and is already laying flat only after a few minutes. There doesn't appear to be any shedding and the rug is very soft under foot even though I do not have a pad and it is on stained concrete. Very very pleased with the fast shipping and great rug! I ordered the purple color 8x10.

Be aware that the wool does shed a lot of tiny fibers for a while, so you will want to vacuum frequently during the break-in period. Nice color. The knap is pretty short, so it should stay tight and last a while.

The shades of blue in this rug are great. They are exactly as pictured. We bought it for our youngest son's room so he would have a rug that didn't seem babyish, yet wasn't boring and he loves blue. Needless to say, he loves this rug. The only complaint is it isn't a soft as I thought it was going to be. However, it does not shed like some new rugs do for the first few months, and it is pretty thick, so we are happy. Would definitely recommend it.

The thickness is fine--not plush but definitely acceptable for a wool rug and for the price paid. It's about 1/2" thick, which I knew in advance from a review I read somewhere before purchasing. The only thing I don't like about the rug is that the long edges are not straight, which is a little surprising to me for this type of modern rug. It's not too bad, but it would definitely bother me if the rug cost more. For the price, however, I think this is a really nice rug, especially the colors. I have the 8 x 10 size.
