This rug has a beautiful bold pattern. The colors are a bit more muted in person, but not much. I would describe the red border as "brick" red, not burgendy. The gold is not so yellowy...it's just right. Extremly plush and thick, and the pattern is so beautiful and very unique. There is some shedding, but I wouldn't say it's excessive. All in all, a wonderful rug at a great price.

RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
