The weaver passes the wefts between each warp from selvedge to selvedge. A vertical slit is created with every change of design – This technique is called slit tapestry weave. Hand-woven in India using the finest semi-worsted New Zealand Wool and detailed with intricate weave, each rug has been created to reflect the spirit of the original kilim pieces.
