This rug lays nicely. It's not overly thick, but fine to cover and protect our living room carpet. It smelled for a few days after arrival, but nothing noticeable now. The colors were mostly true to the website image -- the red is perhaps a little more rust tinted than shown on my monitor.

RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
