I have had 2 of these rugs for the past 10 years and they are still beautiful as ever. The colors are pretty much as pictured - eggplant and taupe (more a taupe or dark beige - not light beige). I have these rugs in my dining room and living room to go with my eggplant colored curtains (with white inserts) - In the dining room this run sits under my black table (eggplant curtains). Rug is very well crafted and has lasted all these years - wears well even with my cat and dog and kids. I am getting another for my family room and happy that is is not discontinued. Also love that these rugs do not show dirt because with kids/pets u need that.
