Oh So Cozy! 12 Bedrooms and Living Rooms We’re Dreaming of Curling Up In

January 3, 2021 by Elizabeth Wieck

cozy neutral living room

In times like these, the home has become an even more essential source of comfort, and we find we’re craving rich textures, hues that make us happy, and beauty everywhere we turn. Sure, a fluffy blanket is nice, and we love a soft, plush bedside rug underfoot (of course!), but there’s more to getting your comfy on than those few things. Below, check out the these cozy bedroom and living room ideas to turn your home into a real haven.

dark walls living room
With its dark accent wall and hanging plants, this space feels like a moody, lush cave—and one we’d like to curl up in for an afternoon nap. The black-and-white palette is given a hint of warmth with the addition of beige accents. Plush materials (like our Moroccan Diamond Drop Tassel Area rug in off-white) add eye-catching texture. collected vintage green bedroom
Simple, serene, and utterly cozy, this space is all about bringing classics together for an easy, elevated look. Our Fading Herati Medallion rug serves as the anchor of the room, pulling the ivories, browns, and blue and green hues together for a cohesive feel. But it’s the details that really bring the character and coziness home—like placing the rug under the bed, the chunky knit pouf, woven rattan pendant, and framed vintage map. cozy reading nook
A rich brown leather armchair. Several shelves’ worth of books at the ready. Cozy blankets for snuggling up. One of our favorite and best-selling rugs—the Tribal Moroccan Tassel style in off-white. We think we’ve found our ideal reading corner! Photo by @kcprintsco.
gray collected living room
The key to pulling off a neutral space that doesn’t feel boring? Trying out different tones and textures! Here, woven wicker meets crisp linens and polished woods, and muted grays meet rich blacks and the unexpected olive. It’s clean, it’s cozy, it’s full of character—and we love how our Diamond Chevron Bands Tasseled rug brings in just the right amount of pattern. Photo by Made by Carli.
pastel baby nursery
It’s essential to create a serene, cozy nursery for your little one, both to foster a good night’s sleep and to ensure they’re safe and comfortable in their space. We love all the soft, delicate elements seen here: plenty of blankets, the pretty pastel palette, the sweet wall mural, and our plush Diamond Shag rug. Photo by @ourcafixerupper.
midcentury modern cozy living room
Hello, midcentury-modern cabin in the-woods! We get the sense that this is the perfect spot to kick back, relax, and enjoy a movie (and maybe a drink from that fabulous bar cart, too). Our Moroccan Diamond Pinstripes Tassel rug in off-white adds subtle texture and pattern. Photo by Design by Discovery.
farmhouse bedroom
We love the vintage-meets-modern feel of this farmhouse-inspired bedroom, which is filled with tons of character thanks to faux wallpaper (it’s sketched with a pencil!) and a cozy mix of textures and patterns. Our Tribal Medallion rug in rust brings in an unexpected, traditional touch and a beautifully faded hint of color. Photo by Pretty on Fridays.
white neutral living room
Light, bright, and airy can be perfectly cozy, too, just like this gorgeous space, which we think is the interiors equivalent of fashion’s winter whites. Marry all manner of creamy, beige tones with tons of textures (like our Chunky Loop rug seen here) to bring the look to your own home. Photo by @caleyscozyhome.
pastel modern family room
Chic, modern, cozy, this family room has plenty of room for everyone to gather around and get comfy. We love the plush, layered mix of throw pillows, which align perfectly with the hues in our Faded Star Petal Emblem rug in blue. Photo by @burcharddesignco.
boho nautical bedroom
A little bit nautical, a little bit boho, and 100% dreamy. This cozy bedroom mixes some of our favorite things—bold stripes, Moroccan diamonds (from our Moroccan Diamond Drop Tassel rug), macrame, a classic landscape painting—for a light and lovely look that’s full of collected charm. layered rugs living room
Layering two rugs is one of our favorite ways to make a room feel collected and complete, and this gorgeous duo (our Braided rug in off-white and Tribal Gabbeh Fringe rug in olive) ties everything in the room together for a warm, welcoming look. Photo by @craven_haven.
