A new year is always about new beginnings (especially after cleaning up all the chaos that is Christmas and the holidays!). But this year, more than ever, we find we’re updating our homes to be cozy, comforting, and places where we’ll love to spend time. To get a few ideas, we tapped some of our favorite follows on Instagram to show us how they’re refreshing their spaces this year with a new rug.
Rugs are essential in creating a warm and restful bedroom, which is exactly what @ashleytkim discovered when she rolled out our Tribal Moroccan Tassel rug after having bare floors in the space. We’d bet that shaggy texture feels amazing on bare feet just out of bed.
Hygge at Home
For @sweetbungalow, the Scandinavian concept of hygge—which is pretty much the word “cozy” personified—was the inspiration for this space. And with our sweater-like Braided rug in off-white, plush faux sheepskins, and soothing textures, we think she hit the nail on the head!
Classic and Crisp
We love serene and subdued hues when it comes to the bedroom. But sometimes, you need a little pop of color! Our friend @clippercityhouse turned to our Florid Dreams rug in peach to do just that, and we can’t get over how inviting and cozy the space feels as a result.
To finish up decorating her dining area, @brookewaitehome added in some art and shelf accents, tufted a French mattress to use as a bench cushion (genius idea!), and laid down our Devour Cowhide in gold. She loves how the rug brings in just the right amount of cozy texture—and we have to agree!
A Petite Spot to Eat
When @helloimaubs set out to refresh her adorable dining nook, she knew she wanted to bring in a neutral rug—but one that was filled with warmth and personality. Enter our Arabesque rug, seen here in beige, which provides just the right amount of casual elegance and character.
The Layered Look
If you know us, you know we love the look of layered rugs. So of course we were thrilled when we saw @homewithharper roll out our Jute Braided rug in natural under our Eldorado rug in beige, which she already had in place. It’s the perfect way to spruce up your space without having to make major changes or rethink a room’s design.
Rich and Relaxing
A little bit modern, a little bit boho, and 100% beautiful, we love how @sophia.elrae used our Sabine Fringe rug in rust to breathe new life into her cozy living room. She rolled it out over her existing carpet, which we think is a genius and wallet-friendly way to give floors a fresh new look.
A Serene Suite
Nothing but the sweetest of dreams to be had in this chic suite! Thanks to its subtle woven pattern and neutral coloring, our Pinstriped Jute rug in @suzannahstanley’s lovely bedroom lets the graphic black-and-white details take center stage while fitting in perfectly with the rest of the soft-hued decor.
This cozy corner has us ready to kick back and curl up with a good book ASAP! @jessica_agnes used our sweater-inspired Braided rug to brighten up her living room, which was already brimming with a mix of textures and beautiful woven accents. We can’t help but love how perfectly the rug matches that blanket!
After clearing out all the Christmas decor in the living room, @themerrythought decided it was time to spruce up the space with a new rug. They turned to our Moroccan Trellis Tassel rug for the job, whose neutral hues and subtle pattern help hide small spills and any messes kids might track in.
