A Long-Lasting Rug for a Rental
Q: I’m looking for a neutral, durable area rug for my vacation rental property. Any ideas? –@ahester71
A: Absolutely! We have a ton of durable rugs, many of which are easy to clean if your renters do happen to make a mess. Here’s what we’re thinking!
Rugs made of jute and other natural fibers are going to be some of our most durable styles, and they have a beautifully textured look, too! Some of our favorites are the Chunky Jute Tasseled rug (shown above), Pinstriped Jute rug, and Striped Jute rug. They can, however, be a little tricky to get stains out of, so we’d roll them out in living rooms, bedrooms, and other areas where food and drink won’t be widely consumed.
If you are concerned about stains and dirt, take a look at our washable collection. These handy styles come in just one piece—no pesky backing to attach the top layer to!—and are a breeze to clean. Simply throw in the wash, dry, and the rug is good as new! We love the Atrium Medallion Washable rug, Diamond Mosaic Washable rug, and Moroccan Washable rug.
For another great option in mess-prone areas, try our outdoor rugs, which are made to withstand rain, sunlight, and other elements from outside. Our Solid Braided Indoor/Outdoor rug, Myra Trellis Textured Indoor-Outdoor rug, and Iris Totem Indoor/Outdoor Flatweave rug are all styles we think would look great indoors, too!

A Rug to Lighten Up a Studio
Q: I was wondering if you could help me with some ideas on good rugs to go with my velvet grey tuxedo sofa? I know I want to keep it neutral but I also don’t want the colors to look so dull with the sofa. I live in a small studio and unfortunately don’t have a lot of windows, so I don’t get a lot of light in here. It will be nice to get a rug that will help brighten up my space a bit! –@ruubbbiiiii

A: We hear you on wanting to brighten up your space, and think the perfect rug can accomplish exactly that. We love the styles below, and think they’ll be a great option for your space (and pair amazingly with that gorgeous couch!).
If you’re looking for a hint of color, we love our Reverse Herringbone rug (shown here in blue in @ruubbbiiiii’s room with our View in Room tool), the Florid Dreams rug, and the Honeycomb Labyrinth rug.
You can almost never go wrong with a Moroccan style, and we think our Moroccan Diamond Pinstripes Tassel rug (shown in the image above) would be a stellar pick, as would our best-selling Moroccan Trellis rug or Modern Tracery Tasseled rug.
More into neutrals, but with added interest and texture? Check out our Veronica Wool Braided rug, Honeycomb rug, and Diamond Cotton Check Flatwoven rug.

A Rug to Tie it All Together
Q: I am looking for a rug that ties the game room/TV room together but is comfortable. We have a big couch and I want a carpet that will tie in the white, grays, and black together, but still be soft and comfy. –@theyearofaroosa
A. We absolutely love all the cozy vibes going on in this space thanks to the dark walls. Here are a few rugs we think would up the comfy factor even more!

To add all the cozy texture, look to our Moroccan Chevron rug, Shaggy Crosshatch rug, and Textured Trellis with Tassels rug—the last of which you can see virtually rolled out in @theyearofaroosa’s room with our View in Room tool.
A bold-colored rug is a great way to tie in all the neutrals in a space. We think traditional-leaning styles would be beautiful here—just look at the charming dark-walled den in the image above! A few favorites that fall under this style are our Dynast rug, Barbed Mast Medallion rug, and Vibrant Meadow rug.
For a more neutral take—that would still add character and not get lost within the other neutrals in the space—try out our Rose Moroccan Tassel rug, Speckled Vintage rug, or Banded Bird Eye Diamonds rug.

A Midcentry Moroccan Look
Q: I’m looking for something midcentury modern, but has quirky geometric shapes like a Moroccan rug. –@heydurian
A: Say no more! We have so many styles we think will work here.
If you’re looking for a neutral Moroccan look, we’ve got you! Try our Moroccan Washable rug, Evanescent Moroccan rug, or Tribal Mural Tassel rug (as seen in the top image here), all of which will add the fun geometric shapes you’re going for.

Love the Moroccan look, but want to add color? Check out the Handwoven Denim rug (in a very versatile blue, as seen here in @heydurian’s space with our View in Room tool), the Moroccan Diamond rug, and the boldly bright Multi Moroccan Diamond rug.
Ready to add interest with texture? We support you! And recommend taking a peek at our Eloise Wool Moroccan Washable rug, Carved Moroccan Diamonds rug, and Textured Moroccan Jute rug. All the texture equals utmost coziness!

A Rug for Cozy-Modern Vibes
Q: I’m looking for something cozy to go over a jute rug! I haven’t moved into my new space yet, but bought a jute rug to go over the not-great carpet. The room will have a gray couch and two blue velvet chairs. Walls are light gray and we have oiled bronze accents. What rug might you recommend for layering for a midcentury mod/cozy vibe? –@inspiringlifeproject
A: We’re all about layering rugs—and all about rolling out these rugs over not-so-great carpet! (You can read all our tips for pulling that off in our guide here.) We think the styles below will be a great fit for your space’s needs and furniture combo!
For a look that’s all about modern, minimal lines, consider our Checkered Tiles rug, Tiled Trellis rug, Ripple Waves rug (which you’ll see rolled out in the swoon-worthy space above).
Moroccan and midcentury styles go hand in hand, so embrace the trend with our Lilith Stippled Tasseled rug, Aleena Wool Diamond Washable rug, or Rippled Moroccan rug.
Shag styles were also super popular during the heyday of midcentury style—and are still a great way to add the minimal-yet-cozy vibes to your home. Try out our Shaggy Geometric rug, Shaggy Striped rug, or Shaggy Checkered Tiles Tassel rug to bring the look to your space.
