Beautiful rug with some issues

I just received my rug in the mail and was so excited to finally get it after being back ordered. It looks perfect in my living room but it isn’t as soft I was hoping. The flat parts feel more like and indoor/outdoor rug and are not soft on my feet at all. Second, I purchased an 8x10 rug and it’s only 7.5ft wide. Not the end of the world but don’t love when dimensions aren’t accurate. Overall satisfied and time will tell how it holds up with young children and pets.

The design is great, texture is fluffy, & seems like it will stand up to standard wear-&-tear for a while. Only complaint is that spots which cats repeatedly claw can become easily apparent.

This rug is great for in front of the door, hides dirt and collects dirt well from shoes! Color was exactly what was shown online.
