It is just as it appears online - beautiful, substantial (it's heavy!), soft on your feet, and adds so much character to the space. I purchased the runner and have it in my kitchen. I used to be in the camp of no rugs in the kitchen; this rug changed my mind. Yes, it sheds a bit at first (not ideal in a kitchen), but after I vacuumed it a few times (without the roller) I have had no issues with it shedding. A safe buy for sure, you can't help but love love love this rug!

This is the second one of these rugs that I've had. The first one lasted three years before becoming intolerably frayed and unpresentable. On the positive side, I liked it enough to replace it with the exact same rug.
