This is a beautiful and very colorful rug. It is nice and thick so it lays perfectly flat. I bought it for a guest room and it really livens up the room.

This room was/is another difficult choice because is inbetween an open floor plan that connects the "parlor" to the kitchen. We have an old house, built in the late 1800's, and the wood flooring is the original that came with the house. So unbeknownst to me until after I bought the house, we were heating the basement along with the first floor. Putting down rugs in all the rooms but still highlighting was is still beautiful wood flooring was my solution. I went back and forth on this room for a full month (really all the rooms) so this rug was my final answer. I love the Moroccan feel this rug has without being overwhelming at the same time it lightens the rug. Because this room gets a fair amount of traffic, I didn't want a light background, but needed the brightness. The light grey with yellow flecks background of the rug was just the trick. Plus the design itself isn't an overwhelming one. It also matched the "parlor" rug in that they were both navy (but with other colors). Again, perfect and very soft. I'm thrilled. In fact, if anything, I'd have gone with a larger size. The 5 x 8 size works for under the dining room table but a larger one would have made the design (which I love to death) even more visible. This is my favorite rug! I purchased in the Light brown and it does look different than the pictures. I would say much lighter and a bit more light pink....but, it looks fantastic! It is thin, but soft. I am quite happy with the purchase and price! I'm buying a second for my dining in a darker color!
