The rug was exactly how it was pictured. When redoing our sitting room I bought the rug first then bought everything else before the rug actually came (because the rug took awhile to get here). The blue in the rug I was able to match to get paint for the walls, but the orange/yellow was not shown through very well on the rug picture. It would have been helpful to know what color the trim of the rug and the trim around all the shapes was. When the rug arrived was the first time I noticed the trim was grey (which could have played a role in decorating the room). The orange/yellow I used from the rug to pick out paint is more dull than vibrate (the color I chose is very virbrant), luckly the rug is so colorful it does not matter for the color of the room I painted. Thanks for a beautiful rug.
