- Clean & Care: Vacuum regularly as new wool rugs can shed yarn fibers for up to three months. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Do not pull loose ends, clip them with scissors to remove. Clean liquid spills immediately by blotting with cloth or sponge. For hard to remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended.
We purchased this rug and it is absolutely beautiful! The colors are a bit different on screen than in real life, but the rug is great quality!RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
Overall, this is a great rug. I bought it 4 years ago and it has stood up very well in the living room. It still, however, sheds quite a bit - when you run your hand over the rug, you get a few fibers on your fingers, and every time I vacuum, the canister is filled with rug fiber. That being said, after 4 years no part of the rug is bald, so the pile is holding up very well. I think this is just part of the nature of a wool rug. The rug is soft and comfortable and a great pop of color in the room. The only major thing to note is that the color of the rug is very different than what is shown on the website (all the websites show this rug as above, and thus incorrectly). The part that looks purple above the red is an unequivocal blue - like the kind of blue that would be an example of blue in the dictionary - just blue. The top right arc that looks beige is actually light green - somewhere in the family of lime green to yellow-green - it's much more attractive than the photo. The main green part looks a bit more green in real life and a little less sage than the picture. The best way to think of the colors in this rug is like a traditional rainbow or a child's box of crayons - very basic colorwheel colors of red, orange, yellow, light green, green, blue. It really is quite lovely - great for your contemporary living room, and would also be cute in a child's room.
Though styles have come and gone, beneath them all is the fundamental principal that Momeni rugs are created to touch our senses. The Momeni standard of quality, elegance, and sophistication has been recognized time and time again with America's Magnificent Carpet Award in Atlanta Georgia.
