RECOMMENDED: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.this rug is beautiful- however, it sheds A LOT. i vacuumed it as soon as i rolled it out and it filled up the entire canister and continues to shed lots. i've had the same experience with other wool rugs in the past so i kind of expected it, but be prepared for lots of initial vacuuming!
